Every knob is sanded by hand so it turns freely, but some colors of plastic are just a little more stubborn than others.
If yours won't budge, hold the knob under hot tap water for 10–20 seconds — the warm water lets the plastic expand just enough to turn. After that, a bit of silicone lubricant (not oil) on the threads will keep it turning smoothly going forward.
